As a TBM Project Coordinator, you will be part of a team that ensures the successful execution of tunnel boring machine projects. Your role will involve:
- Filling-in shift production reports using internal report software.
- Carrying out quality control checks using internal check sheets.
- Managing survey equipment to ensure it is suitable for the works and in calibration.
- Measuring materials usage and providing quantity information for preparation of material requisitions.
- Tracking Muck Haulage quantities and comparing with TBM Scales Recordings for system calibration.
- Monitoring TBM Advance parameters and ensuring they are in accordance with Permit to tunnel.
- Filling in the ring-built production report.
- Carrying out on-site testing of materials and products as required.
- Collecting samples of material (backfill grout, excavated soil) when required, providing immediate feedback to Tunnel Foreman/TBM Operator.
- Reading and understanding method statements and making sure that site operations follow these methods accurately reporting any variances to supervisors and his supervising engineer.
- Effective communication of technical information to the workforce and technical support during operations.
- Providing feedback to supervising engineers/managers on the effectiveness of work performed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum of 1 or 2 years of experience working on a TBM project.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline. Civil, Structural, or Mechanical preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.
- Intermediate to expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environment.
- Interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.
- Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge.
