Job Summary:

The Change Management Contractor is responsible for driving organizational change initiatives. This position will engage with management and employees to implement effective change management strategies. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring smooth transition of transformative projects that impact people, processes, and systems. The role requires an understanding of change management principles, along with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project leaders to develop change management strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Analyze impact of initiatives on processes and systems to develop action plans to support the change.
  • Develop and implement change management plans, including communication strategies and training programs to ensure smooth transition and adoption.
  • Develop communication plans to ensure transparency about upcoming changes, progress, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Conduct change readiness assessment to identify potential risks and resistance factors, and to evaluate organizational readiness for upcoming changes.
  • Monitor progress, identify barriers and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure alignment and integration of change efforts across sectors and divisions.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and provide support to build change management capabilities within the organization. Empower people leaders to lead their teams through change.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Post Secondary Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in change management consulting or a related role
  • Proven ability to create materials for project implementation, including communication and learning materials.
  • Knowledge of Change Management principles, methodologies, practices and tools. Prosci certification preferred.
  • Experience in transformation initiatives and IT projects is a plus.
  • Experience with another standards development organization or a non-profit would be an asset.

  • High degree of self-motivation and ownership.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into various forms of documentation
  • Experience with leading and influencing teams in a matrix organizational structure.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo to drive systemic change and improvements.
  • Working knowledge of CSA's standards development and business processes is an asset.
