Job Summary
The incumbent will carry out routine data collection for our Power of the Arts project, assist with maintain research-related records and databases, enter data according to established protocols, perform basic literature searches (such as, searching for articles on-line), enter references into a reference database, assist with subject recruitment and other related tasks.
Organizational Status
The incumbent will report to the PI (Dr. Adele Diamond) and a graduate student.
Work Performed
The incumbent will:
- Carry out routine data collection for our Power of the Arts project.
- Assist with maintain research-related records and databases, entering data according to established protocols.
- Perform basic literature searches, such as, searching for articles on-line.
- Enter references into a reference database.
- Assist with subject recruitment and other misc. related tasks.
Consequence of Error/Judgement
Consequences of errors could be grave, such as lost data, incorrectly entered data, and compromise of the integrity and success of the research project.
Supervision Received
The incumbent will be supervised by the PI (Dr. Adele Diamond). The incumbent will also receive work and work direction from a graduate student.

Minimum Qualifications
High school graduation and a minimum one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of MS-Word, Excel, Powerpoint, & Presentation software.
- Able to grasp things quickly & able to learn with minimal instruction.
- Able to multi-task; comfortable working in a research environment that involves many projects.
- Very detail-oriented & accurate; able to stay on top of many details simultaneously.
- Calm, patient, flexible - able to work quickly to meet sudden deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills.
