Research Assistant II position available at MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions. Assist with administrative duties, social media lead, and research projects. Research Assistant II

MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions is seeking a Research Assistant II to provide essential assistance, organizational and administrative support to research projects and submission of research manuscripts for publication, and social media expertise.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support manuscript preparation and submission using online journal systems
  • Perform literature searches/data mining on requested topics and provide relevant articles to PI or research team
  • Help maintain the CV of Dr. Durbin
  • Support the development and execution of social media strategies to promote research findings, participation in research or related content
  • Create and edit short video clips for social media platforms
  • Monitor social media trends and help implement innovative content ideas
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree and 1 year of relevant experience, or demonstrable equivalent combination of specialized education and experience
  • TCPS CORE 2, Health Canada Division 5, and Good clinical practice certificate preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project's topic, medical and scientific terminology, and social media skills
  • Ability to learn and use reference management systems and research databases
  • Strong computer skills, particularly database, spreadsheet, and word processing
  • Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills
  • Able to keep written records, understand written and verbal direction, and work independently and as part of a team
Working Environment:

The role will be primarily remote, although occasionally the successful candidate may be asked to meet in person.
