Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room (OR) team. As a RN, O.R., you will provide direct nursing care to patients, assess their physical and psycho-social needs, and develop and implement individualized care plans.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and psycho-social needs, identify problems, and develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring vital signs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management.
- Participate in the orientation and ongoing education of nursing staff and students, promoting a culture of learning and professional development.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- One (1) year's recent relevant clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area, and completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area.
