We're seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Orthotic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our inter-professional healthcare team, you will provide technical expertise towards evaluation, treatment planning, individualized design, custom fabrication, and maintenance of assistive devices, primarily orthoses, to enhance patient mobility and/or physical function.
About the OpportunityThe successful candidate will work collaboratively with the inter-professional healthcare team to provide optimal care and to assist the patient in achieving their orthotic goals. You will work closely with certified clinicians to ensure the quality and integrity of orthoses provided to patients meet the physical and functional needs of the patients and their goals.
About You- Registration in good standing with Orthotics Prosthetics Canada (annual renewal)
- Minimum of two years' experience (Technical Internship is considered experience)
- Ability to communicate well with patients, families and the healthcare team
- Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills to complete assigned work and manage changing caseloads
- High level of manual dexterity, strong problem-solving abilities, computer skills
- Understanding of privacy and confidentiality requirements and understanding of infection control procedures
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

HoursTwo (2) Permanent, Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Incentives$36.54 hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
Successful candidates may be eligible for a signing bonus and up to $5,000 of relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
