Position Summary

As a Cashier at Walmart Canada, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in the retail industry while providing exceptional customer service. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering a positive shopping experience and are looking to grow their career in customer service or retail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers in a polite and friendly manner.
  • Process transactions efficiently and accurately, including deactivating merchandise as required.
  • Promote company-sponsored programs and services to customers.
  • Assist customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure register security and integrity through diligent cash handling and awareness of surroundings.
  • Refer complex service and transactional issues to a Customer Service Manager as needed.
Compensation

The hourly rate for this position starts at $14.65, with opportunities for advancement based on relevant experience.

Minimum Qualifications

The following qualifications are required for this position:

  • Relevant experience in customer service or retail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise as required.

  • Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
