Join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority as a Cashier/Receptionist and play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients and staff.

Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. As a Cashier/Receptionist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical, record-keeping and bookkeeping functions, and acting as a communication link for the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Perform general clerical duties, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff
  • Operate a computer terminal and use office productivity software
  • Compile reports and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • One year's experience working with cash and processing bank deposits using a computerized account receivable system
  • Experience in performing general clerical duties
  • Experience working with people in a customer service environment
  • Experience using office productivity software, including Microsoft Office
  • SAP, ESP and HIPPO experience preferred
Education and Certification
  • Successful completion of Grade 12
Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge and support of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority's vision, values, goals and objectives
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of filing procedures
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, methods and procedures applicable to cash ledgers and banking
  • Ability to make accurate arithmetical computations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with public and staff
  • Ability to compile reports
  • Ability to deliver supplies to the units and lift up to 35lbs as required
Physical Requirements
  • May be required to work extended hours
  • May involve exposure to disease, radiation, toxic materials, noise, allergens, etc.
  • May encounter aggressive and/or agitated residents/staff/visitors
