We are looking for a Maintenance Coordinator for our Walker Gro-Bark Office & Processing Facility in Caledon, ON.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the incumbent oversees all maintenance of onsite and off site equipment to ensure minimum downtime and maximize efficiencies for all machinery and equipment. The incumbent will be reviewing purchase orders (POs) and invoices, and monitoring equipment to identify any repair issues while making recommendations for improvements. This role will work closely with site supervisors, Health & Safety and site operations to coordinate preventative maintenance (PMs) and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule maintenance on all site equipment and vehicles to reduce downtime and increase cost efficiencies.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance (PMs) and repairs, ensuring that all health and safety and environmental policies, regulations and legislation are adhered to.
  • Ensure that maintenance work is done accurately, efficiently and complies with policies, procedures and regulations as well as best working practices.
  • Review and process purchase orders (POs), invoices and bill of ladings.
  • Track invoices and monitor parts inventory to ensure adequate levels, placing orders for new parts as necessary.
  • Source new suppliers and materials, exploring new methods to maximize efficiencies in collaboration with site supervisors and the Operations Manager.
  • Routinely monitor equipment to identify any repair issues, and make recommendations to improve operations and condition of equipment.
  • Perform some administrative duties, including the creation of work orders for intermediate and finished goods at GB1 sites, tracking employee hours in TMS, inventory tracking and transfer orders.
  • Assist in maintaining all records and training documents pertaining to equipment and Health & Safety as well as liaising between site supervisors and the Operations Manager.
  • Generate and review production reports to ensure that the business has adequate equipment on site, in good working order, for current and future work projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in an administrative role. Knowledge of maintenance and industrial equipment is a strong asset.
  • Advanced ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems, at times, of a mechanical nature.
  • Advanced knowledge of health and safety and environmental regulation, policies and procedures.
  • Advanced ability to monitor and promote health and safety and environmental initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail, making sure work is done correctly and thoroughly.
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure adequate levels of supplies and parts for current and future work projects.
  • Intermediate computer software skills (i.e. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Oracle) to efficiently and effectively produce reports and track inventory as necessary.
  • Keeps accurate records.
  • Must possess a valid G Registration Ontario Driver's license in good standing.
