Job Title: Bilingual Litigation Legal Assistant

We are seeking a permanent, full-time experienced Bilingual Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team in Moncton to provide legal administrative support to lawyers in the Litigation practice group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and organize documents to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Enter and code documents in our document management system.
  • Cross-reference documents for discoveries, motions, and trial exhibits.
  • Utilize computer technology to streamline tasks and improve productivity.
  • Perform general office and clerical duties, including billable and non-billable functions.
  • Manage a daily calendar with a list of tasks and deadlines.
  • Schedule and book appointments, including hotel rooms, conference rooms, and court reporters.
  • Draft letters for filing pleadings and forwarding monthly accounts.
  • Provide a monthly list of billable files and review for accuracy prior to submission.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in English and some understanding of French is required.
  • 4-5 years of experience working as a litigation legal assistant.
  • A legal assistant or paralegal diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution is considered an asset.
  • Above-average proficiency in Microsoft applications and typing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
