We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to our lawyers in the Litigation practice group at Cox Palmer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and organize documents to ensure accuracy and efficiency;
  • Enter data and code documents in our document management system;
  • Cross-reference documents for discoveries, motions, and trial exhibits;
  • Utilize technology to streamline tasks and improve productivity;
  • Perform general office and clerical duties, including billable and non-billable functions;
  • Manage a daily calendar with tasks and schedule bookings for discoveries;
  • Draft letters for filing pleadings and forwarding monthly accounts;
  • Provide a monthly list of billable files and review for typos before submitting to accounting;
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in English is required;
  • 4-5 years of experience working as a litigation legal assistant;
  • A legal assistant or paralegal diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution is considered an asset;
  • Above-average proficiency in Microsoft applications and typing skills;
  • Detail-oriented, strong organizational, and time management skills.
