Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our team at The Wolf Creek School Division. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs in an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with complex needs, promoting their academic and social development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with complex needs.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with complex needs, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a calm, patient approach to challenging situations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
