Job Title: Slot Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Slot Attendant at Grand Villa Casino Edmonton.

About the Role:

As a Slot Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience while playing our slot machines. Your duties will include:

  • Observing slot players and machines to provide assistance and support
  • Offering instruction and answering questions on various games and machines
  • Managing slot machine reservations and promoting casino initiatives
  • Working in compliance with internal controls, company policies, and provincial lottery/gaming policies
  • Managing a cash float, verifying and providing jackpot payouts, and monetary change to guests
  • Reporting any violations and escalating to the appropriate level as necessary
  • Replenishing and maintaining slot machines, monitoring machine stack lights to ensure prompt service
  • Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of all slot operation policies and procedures
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience handling cash and working with the public
  • Superior customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of slot machine functions (an asset)
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and pull, lift, and carry objects weighted similar to a full box of paper
  • The ability to obtain registration with AGLC or AGCO
  • Deal Us In (Phase 1) Certificate
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a team environment
  • A willingness to develop new skills and stay on top of the latest industry news and insights
