Job Title: Community Connections Instructor - Immigrant Services

About the Role

The Community Connections Instructor will play a vital role in the Immigrant Welcome Centre, providing information, language instruction, and support to Permanent Residents, Naturalized Canadians Citizens, Refugees, CUAET, international students & temporary residents with work permits, and eligible individuals applying to stay in Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and facilitate community connections groups, employment/post-secondary orientations, and job-search support.
  • Provide support for other group activities, education programs, and events.
  • Develop relationships with community service providers and create opportunities for clients.
  • Facilitate client-led groups and provide individual and group orientations and support.
Requirements
  • Diploma with training in Education.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with ESL students or ESL newcomers.
  • ESL Teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Familiarity with/knowledge of community services and resources for individuals and families.
What We Offer
  • 20 hours per week.
  • Hourly Wage: $23.15.
  • Optional competitive extended health benefits and an up to 4% matching RSP plan.
