Responsibilities:

Eastlink is currently seeking a Student Locator to join our team in Sudbury, ON. The successful candidate is required to reside in or be willing to re-locate to this management area. As a member of an experienced in-field technical team, the Student Locator will be responsible locating Eastlink underground plant, and providing supporting documentation through drawing and mapping of its location. The student may also be required to help with other general labour jobs.

Eastlink provides in-house technical and safety training as well as training on specific services and duties that will increase with experience to ensure you have the skills to succeed.

As the ideal candidate, you are a professional, customer orientated individual who has strong problem solving skills, technical aptitude and enjoys working in a fast paced customer facing work environment. You are currently enrolled in a recognized Electronics program. Relevant industry repair and maintenance experience is considered an asset. Committed to fostering a safe work environment, you proactively demonstrate Occupational Health & Safety work safe practices. Able to travel throughout the region, you require a valid driver's license coupled with a satisfactory driving record. As part of the recruitment process a drivers abstract and criminal background check will be requested.

Requirements:

You also have the ability to do the following:

  • Work Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, and potential weekends
  • Manually lift, push and pull up to 90 lbs.
  • Work in inclement weather conditions (including snow, rain & cold)
  • Kneel, crouch and work above shoulders on occasion
