Key Job Responsibilities

Conduct engaging training sessions for Komatsu Mining's advanced Hard Rock machinery, ensuring safe and effective operation at customer locations and within Komatsu Mining facilities. Lead the development of captivating technical and operator training programs for underground loaders, trucks, drills, and bolters, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery aligned with product launches. Assess and select external technical training partners to enhance the effectiveness and creativity of training initiatives. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations while upholding Komatsu's high-quality standards in all training efforts. Leverage advanced training technologies and simulation systems to provide immersive and impactful learning experiences, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and expertise. Act as a primary technical resource, providing expert support during equipment demonstrations, warranty adjudication, and customer technical inquiries, reinforcing Komatsu's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications/Requirements

Technical trades diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering with hands-on equipment experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry. At least 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a mining context, including bolters, jumbos, loaders, and trucks. Proven experience in facilitating training on technical equipment. Familiarity with BEV equipment is considered advantageous. Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air-water systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, flexible, and driven to meet customer satisfaction objectives. Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office, to develop and deliver training through electronic platforms. Capable of conducting technical training and conveying detailed information, with strong public speaking skills.

Additional Requirements

Willingness to work varied shift schedules. Ability to travel globally as required with a valid passport. Capability to work in an underground environment as necessary. Proficiency in verbal and written English is required. Proficiency in verbal and written Spanish is considered an asset. Completion of underground hard rock common core modules in compliance with applicable government and industry standards. Completion of MSHA certification modules in compliance with applicable government and industry standards. Must possess a valid driver's license.
