Senior Technician - Security

Join our team as a Senior Technician - Security at Paladin Technologies, a premier North American complex systems integrator for building technology solutions. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional security solutions to our clients.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to review, understand, analyze, and implement installation blueprints and plans to complete installations.
  • Install, program, configure, and commission security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, intrusion alarms, and fence detection systems, in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the continued functionality and reliability of security systems.
  • Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and related components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cabling systems with other network infrastructure components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs, provide expert guidance, and offer solutions tailored to their requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of system installations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
  • Train clients and end-users on the operation of security systems to maximize their effectiveness and ease of use.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in security technology, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and compliance standards related to security systems installation and maintenance.
  • Perform administrative duties, including project updates and completing and filing project documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure security systems to meet client specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to ensure system functionality.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of system installations and maintenance.
  • Train clients and end-users on security system operation.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in security technology and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low-voltage industry.
  • Previous experience leading installations at the site level is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of relevant tools and equipment.
  • Programming experience preferred for senior positions.
  • Vendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferred.
  • Valid TQ certification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and work on different systems.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean abstract.
