Air Logistics Perishable Customer Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Air Logistics Perishable Customer Care Specialist to join our team at Kuehne+Nagel. As a key member of our Air Logistics team, you will be responsible for managing daily airfreight export bookings, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring seamless execution of shipments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all daily airfreight export bookings, including dry and perishable shipments
- Act as primary resource for branch support in Halifax Perishable Office
- Assist with quotes for our sales team as required
- Prepare shipping documents and provide advice to clients on high-profile shipments
- Negotiate with carriers and other subcontractors for services and preferential rates
- Trace lost or misdirected cargo shipments and process preliminary claims
- 3+ years of experience in the Freight Forwarding business or associated industry
- 1+ years of experience in operational, clerical, and/or administrative roles relative to freight traffic
- Ability to maintain focus and work on multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Proactive and customer-focused, with export customer service experience a plus
