Summary: Seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
About the RoleThe Registered Nurse will practice in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, and the UHN Professional Practice Model, providing compassionate, collaborative, and competent care to patients. The successful candidate will be a team player, committed to lifelong learning, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, applying knowledge of nursing science, theory, and critical decision-making skills.
- Ensure practice is consistent with professional standards and the ethical framework as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario and UHN policy and procedure.
- Participate in continuing education activities to meet the needs of the patient population served and the standards of the profession.
- Perform reflective practice, analyzing and evaluating nursing knowledge to improve the quality of nursing and patient care.
- Perform cross-functional and other responsibilities as assigned and/or requested.
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification required.
- Flexible and able to work effectively and efficiently within an interdisciplinary patient care team.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- BScN degree preferred.
