We are seeking Caregivers for community clients in the Simcoe County area. Shifts vary from mornings to evenings and occasional overnights. We are seeking casual individuals who are available to pick up shifts as needed. Shifts can vary from casual to full-time hours.

PSWs and DSWs are welcome to apply

Job Benefits:

  • Competitive pay at $19/hr
  • Benefits Plan available after working 30+ hours per week*
  • 4% Vacation Pay on every pay
  • Flexible hours and schedule
  • 4 hour shift minimum

The successful candidate's areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care including eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing as per client's care plan
  • Providing medication support and management
  • Providing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
  • Maintaining open communication with client and their family
  • Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates
  • Responding to all emergency situations
  • All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Satisfactory professional references
  • Previous working experience as a caregiver is required**
  • Access to a vehicle and a valid drivers license
  • Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
