Civil Construction Labourer Civil Construction Labourer

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil Construction Labourer to join our team at [Company Name]. As a Civil Construction Labourer, you will play a crucial role in supporting various civil construction projects, including road construction, concrete work and other infrastructure development projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on assistance in various construction tasks such as excavation, grading, compacting, and concrete pouring.
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to the worksite.
  • Assist in site preparation activities, including clearing debris, leveling surfaces, and setting up temporary structures such as fences and scaffolding.
  • Operate construction equipment such as jackhammers, power tools, compactors, and small machinery following proper safety procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation and pouring of concrete for foundations, slabs, curbs, and other structures.
  • Assist in the demolition and removal of existing structures, ensuring safe handling and disposal of debris.
  • Keep the worksite clean and organized, including the removal of hazardous materials and waste.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.
  • Work collaboratively with the construction team, including contractors, supervisors, and fellow labourers, to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of construction equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Safely drive trucks and trailers to transport construction materials, equipment, and machinery to and from the worksite.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Previous experience in civil construction or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Proficiency in using basic hand tools and construction equipment.
  • Physically fit and able to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Basic understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
