About the Role:

The Early Childhood Educator - Support will work in a dynamic and supportive environment to enhance the role of the Lead Early Childhood Educator. This role involves understanding and responding to the children's learning needs, assisting with the preparation of materials, and creating a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Early Childhood Educator with the preparation of materials and the arrangement of learning centres
  • Observe and record children's activities and progress within the program
  • Represent the work of the children and support the movement of children from one activity to another
  • Work collaboratively with the Lead Educator to create a respectful, stimulating, and safe environment

Qualifications:

  • Diploma, certificate, or degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized institution
  • ECE Level 2 Classification or ECE Level 1 Classification combined with a minimum of one year experience working with pre-school children
  • Recent experience working with pre-school children
  • Current Certification in First Aid
  • Training and/or experience in a play-based learning environment is an asset
