Job Summary

This role will report to the Senior Business Development Manager and work closely with leaders from the Defense, Offshore, Remote sectors, ESS and ECC, and their teams with the primary goal of driving the strategic growth and sales objectives. Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for data insights and the planning and interpreting of market forces as they relate to client businesses and business needs.

Now, if you were to come on board as one of our Analytics & Business Development Managers, we'd ask you to do the following for us:

  • Proactively conduct daily research, communication, and documentation on discussions with prospective clients, and sharing with Sales Team.
  • Read and interpret industry and market data to provide insights and help inform the organization on strategy.
  • Read and report any prospective client intel through news outlets.
  • Proficiency in Compass Value Proposition.
  • Contribute to development of the strategies behind our sales processes.
  • Continuously learn and understanding of current and new company offerings.
  • Perform various prospect communication and calling campaigns as directed. Campaigns will include a variety of tactics with strategic and targeted use of mediums such as phone calls, voicemails, and e-mail follow up.
  • Work with the assigned Sales Director or Vice President for each campaign starting with an intake call to ensure there is alignment on target list, strategy, and any particulars related to the campaign.
  • Call/email prospective customers in designated market area to qualify opportunities and attempt to gain appointments for the sales team.
  • Develop scripts to use when calling prospects—always tweaking and customizing them for the targeted clients.
  • Own the CRM database system to ensure record accuracy. (i.e., names, titles, incumbent, etc. into CRM database system)
  • Own multiple research mediums and the data needed to effectively communicate all insights to the organization.
  • Prepare weekly reports that summarize activities and data captured.
  • Support tradeshows, conferences, and client-specific events.

  • University degree recommended.
  • MS excel and data analysis experience required.
  • Previous Business Development/Account Executive experience required.
  • Knowledge of CRM database management and reporting required.
  • Proficient in the use of MS office suite.
  • Organized self-starter who has the proven ability to develop leads and sell.
  • Previous experience within industry is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of executives.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
  • Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
  • Bilingualism is a strong asset, French and English.
