Job ResponsibilitiesThe Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation Specialist will provide a clinical role within the department, focusing on the rehabilitation of individuals of all ages. Key responsibilities include:
- Completing occupational therapy assessments and treatments according to departmental procedures and established standards of practice.
- Working collaboratively with the Regional Manager of Therapies to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to promote independence and functionality.
- Providing education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental operations.
To be successful in this role, the Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation Specialist must possess:
- A Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree.
- Registration with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
- A positive approach to dealing with challenging situations with empathy and sincerity.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in a healthcare setting and those who are registered with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists.
