Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Compass Program at BC Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will provide clinical support and system navigation for healthcare providers across British Columbia and the Yukon.
Key Responsibilities- Provide telephone consultation, virtual meetings, and connection to online and in-person education to support healthcare providers in caring for patients and families.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment recommendations to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Participate in educational and team-based activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of program policies and procedures.
- Registered with and eligible for membership with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
- Previous experience in the assessment and treatment of children and youth with acute and/or complex presentations of psychiatric disorders, including substance use disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
