About the Role

This role is a key part of our production team, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of high-speed filling and packaging equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of food manufacturing and sanitation requirements, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, operate, and sanitize high-speed filling and packaging equipment, including fillers, cappers, labelers, case erectors, case packers, case and/or bottle coders, palletizers, and pallet wrappers.
  • Accurately record production data and use Vorne Scanner to track inventory control.
  • Correct downtime issues and report operational efficiency impacts to line lead or supervisor.
  • Perform equipment changeovers, set-ups, troubleshooting, and adjustments.
  • Conduct flavor changes, washouts, and weekly cleaning, including tanks, pipes, and equipment (CIP and COP) and floors.
  • Hand stack and/or manually pack-off products.
  • Maintain quality, sanitation, and production documents in accordance with plant quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Handle chemicals safely, test, and document strength and usage.
  • Operate manual and/or electrical pallet jacks.
  • Lead by example in safety, work collaboratively with others, and look out for colleagues' well-being.
  • Attend required weekly training and pass comprehension tests, and sign up for make-up sessions for missed training.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in the food industry (preferred).
  • Ability to climb stairs and/or steps, stand for a minimum of 8 hours, and lift heavy loads safely.
  • Strong verbal and written English skills.
  • Able to work unsupervised and collaboratively with others.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing and sanitation requirements, GMP, HACCP programs.
  • Ability and willingness to follow plant Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Security policies and guidelines.
  • Able to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as required.
