Job Title: Stone Polisher - Machine Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Stone Polisher - Machine Operator to join our team at Ashtech Stones Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating machine saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions, checking products for quality control, and polishing surfaces of stone blocks, slabs, or other stone products to a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate machine saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions
  • Check products for quality control
  • Polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs, or other stone products to a smooth finish
  • Perform ongoing machine adjustments
  • Operate sandblasting equipment to cut inscriptions or decorative designs in monumental stone
  • Operate stone-dressing lathe to sharpen and dress grindstones
  • Operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications
  • Finish stone products with spray paint and by mounting plaques or installing concrete bases
