About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-oriented Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team at Rio Tinto's Iron Ore Company of Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently
  • Work safely through appropriate behaviors and adherence to Rio Tinto's safety standards
  • Keep work areas safe, clean, and well-maintained
  • Be responsible for the proper operation, maintenance, and control of equipment
  • Communicate safety and process deficiencies to supervisors
  • Maintain a continuous improvement focus by developing and implementing solutions to eliminate issues
Requirements
  • Journeyperson and/or Interprovincial "Industrial" Electrician trade qualification
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in an industrial setting
  • A highly flexible approach to work
  • Good collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills
