About the Role

Rio Tinto is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team at the Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) in Labrador City, NL. As an Industrial Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and systems
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure production targets are met
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Journeyperson and/or Interprovincial "Industrial" Electrician trade qualification
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in an industrial setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
