Job Title: Registered Nurse Preadmission Facility

At St. Michael's Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Preadmission Facility team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a seamless transition for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide holistic, evidence-based care to patients undergoing preadmission procedures
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care activities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patient needs
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide education on preadmission procedures and post-operative care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences
Requirements:
  • Current General Class (Practicing) Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • BLS Certification required
  • Successful completion of a Patient Health Assessment Course from a recognized institution
  • Perianesthesia nursing certificate or perianesthesia course an asset
  • Minimum of one year experience in critical care or emergency medicine
  • Ability to perform 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) testing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
