We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our Interventional Radiology department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality medical imaging services.
Key Responsibilities- Apply your knowledge of nursing science and critical decision-making to provide compassionate, collaborative, and competent care to patients.
- Ensure that your practice is consistent with professional standards and the ethical framework as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario and the University Health Network's policy and procedure.
- Participate in ongoing education and quality assurance initiatives to improve the quality of nursing and patient care.
- Perform cross-functional responsibilities as assigned and/or requested.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- ACLS certification, preferred.
- Minimum of two years recent acute care experience in a hospital setting.
- Previous experience in Interventional Radiology, preferred.
- Completion and certification in Bedside PICC insertions, preferred.
- Completion of a recognized Critical Care certificate.
- Completion of a recognized Emergency Nursing certificate.
- Venipuncture and I.V. insertion skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and decision-making, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently within a variety of patient care teams.
- Demonstrated evidence of ongoing education in nursing.
- Ability to work wearing lead apron/vest all day.
- Ability to respond to on-call notifications within 1 hour maximum.
