Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our Community Mental Health team. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide treatment and care management services to individuals with mental illness and concurrent disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interprofessional care team.
- Provide direct nursing care to clients, including medication administration, wound care, and ADLs.
- Work from a strengths-based model, using motivational interviewing and engagement techniques to support clients in achieving their goals.
- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and their informal support networks.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families on topics essential to their health care and well-being.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to coordinate care and ensure a coordinated approach to treatment.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing.
- Two years recent related experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
