About the OpportunitySituated within UJA's Integrated Development Department, you will work closely with the Philanthropic Leadership Gifts team to engage leading donors and support UJA's mission.
Key Responsibilities- Identify new prospects with potential for major gifts and existing donors with greater capacity
- Curate a prospect pipeline and maintain up-to-date information
- Ensure that the appropriate fundraiser is pursuing each prospect
- Oversee traditional and social media monitoring to flag relevant news and donor-specific information
- Produce research information products and reports, including research profiles
- Proactively identify prospective major donors and respond to research requests from senior fundraising professionals
- Review prospect lists and provide analysis on capacity and proclivity to give
- Deliver value-added information to professional fundraising staff
- Support accurate data maintenance and strategic tracking
- Draft biographical, financial, and philanthropic bios and briefings on donors and prospective donors
- Help plan and organize prospecting events and follow-up processes
- Relevant education or equivalent experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport with colleagues
- Experience researching prospects and donors on social media and conventional media
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a busy environment
- Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and associated functions
- Knowledge of Salesforce an asset
- Proactive with excellent organizational, prioritizing, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage complex projects and budgets
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
