Estate Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Estate Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. As an Estate Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our customers and branches across Canada.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert guidance and advice to customers on estate settlement processes, identifying opportunities for business development referrals to partners.
- Review and correct incoming documentation and requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with bank policy and government legislation.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of estates administration, including operational processes and procedures, day-to-day banking, lending, and investment processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient operations, adhering to risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Champion a high-performance environment, fostering an inclusive work culture and implementing a people strategy to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
- Post-secondary education and at least 1 year of experience in customer service, preferably in a financial institution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide advice and propose solutions.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of web-based applications, including Windows, MS Office, and other relevant systems.
