Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Nurse B to manage day-to-day operations and resident flow in a long-term care facility, fostering critical thinking skills and high-quality resident care.

Job Description

The Nurse B will be responsible for:

  • Managing day-to-day operations and resident flow in a long-term care facility
  • Fostering critical thinking skills among nursing staff to work to their full scope of practice
  • Maintaining high-quality resident care through assessment, planning, and evaluation

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Nursing diploma acceptable

Key competencies include:

  • Basic communication skills
  • Basic decision-making skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic leadership skills
  • Basic project management skills
  • Basic supervisory skills

Additional requirements include:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge of MDS assessment/resident assessment protocols (RAPS)

Other information:

  • Registered/eligible with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of SK
  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
