Nestled on the majestic Sibley Peninsula in Northwestern Ontario, Sleeping Giant Provincial Park beckons adventurers with its awe-inspiring landscapes and rich biodiversity.

Encompassing 244 square kilometers of pristine wilderness, this natural haven offers a tapestry of rugged cliffs, tranquil valleys, and dense forests, all cradled by the sparkling shores of Lake Superior.

You will contribute to the achievement of team goals by:

  • Collaborating with the Park Superintendent to oversee daily park operations, including staff supervision, maintenance, enforcement, visitor services, and environmental conservation efforts.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of park policies, procedures, and programs to enhance visitor experiences and protect ecological integrity.
  • Coordinating with external stakeholders, community partners, and indigenous groups to promote inclusivity, diversity, and cultural sensitivity within the park community.
  • Providing important ecological and environmental information to the public.

Park Operations:

  • You have experience in one or more core park operations disciplines: enforcement, maintenance, hospitality, or natural resource conservation.
  • You can bring together people from diverse backgrounds to encourage positive interactions and teamwork.
  • You can interpret and apply relevant legislation, policies and directives.
Other requirements:

  • You hold a valid class G Driver's License.
  • You have the ability to be designated as a Park Warden and meet ministry certification criteria and standards in use of force.
  • You hold or can obtain a valid emergency first aid certificate.
  • You hold or can pass licensing requirements for public use water treatment operation.
  • You can work shifts, weekends and statutory holidays as scheduled.
