As a Building Maintenance Staff, you will assist with maintenance around the property, performing tasks such as carpentry, painting, landscaping, and deep cleaning. You will also be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and carrying out preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for buildings, equipment, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform carpentry, electrical, painting, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance and repairs
  • Maintain the exterior areas of the building, including entranceways, sidewalks, and parking lots
  • Collect and remove garbage and recyclable materials
  • Perform minor gardening and lawn maintenance tasks
  • Complete and maintain related records, such as maintenance logs and security incident reports
  • Transport equipment, furniture, and supplies manually and/or using aides such as dollies and carts
  • Remove snow after a snowfall from parking lot, sidewalk, or pathway space

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience providing preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Hands-on experience in carpentry, electrical repairs, painting, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance
  • Sound knowledge of processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and other building systems and equipment
  • Strong client-service orientation and high sense of responsibility
  • Knowledge and understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC Systems
  • Effective communication skills for data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification
  • Physically fit, able to regularly lift items up to 70 lbs.
  • High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing is an asset
  • Hold a valid driver's license with clean abstract
