Job Summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking an exceptional physician leader to join our team as a Medical Director, Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and manage a team of physicians and nurse practitioners to provide MAiD services.
  • Develop and implement education programs for healthcare staff on MAiD best practices.
  • Provide medical leadership and guidance to healthcare teams on MAiD care.
  • Represent Fraser Health Authority on provincial working groups related to MAiD.
  • Collaborate with quality improvement consultants to ensure high-quality MAiD services.
  • Provide mentorship and preceptorship to new providers on MAiD care.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Eligibility for membership on the Fraser Health Medical Staff.
  • Five years' leadership experience in the healthcare sector, with experience in hospital-based leadership.
  • A Master's degree in health administration or business administration (optional).
  • Additional leadership training is preferred.
  • Experience with budgetary and operational planning is desirable.
Time Commitment:

0.16 FTE (6 hours/week)
