Laboratory Technologist II, Multi Functional Lab Core Lab, Eagle Ridge Hospital

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technologist II to join our team in the Core Lab at Eagle Ridge Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including routine and additional procedures, to ensure accurate and timely results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and additional laboratory procedures, following established departmental procedures and quality control standards.
- Collect and process specimens from inpatients and outpatients, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the Section Head.
- Compile and analyze data, preparing reports and statistics as required.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve laboratory skills and knowledge.
- Graduate of a recognized school of Medical Technology, plus a minimum of one year's recent, related experience.
- Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting equipment.
- A competitive hourly rate of $45.81.
