Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team in the Core Laboratory at a hospital setting. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including routine and specialized tests, to ensure accurate and timely results.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including routine and specialized tests, to ensure accurate and timely results.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of a recognized medical laboratory technology program.
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in a laboratory setting.
- Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
