Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs Full time

Reporting to the GM or AGM, the seasonal landscaper assists with the beautification of the outdoor green environment of Eclipse. The landscaper also provides advice on the landscaping to help minimize the amount of work required to achieve and maintain the desired state of all landscaped areas. This may involve preparing a landscaping plan, working with the appropriate software, and preparing and maintaining any related maintenance lists and schedules.

Duties:

Spring clean-up, summer maintenance, fall preparation for winter of all landscaping areas, including activities such as planting, transplanting, trimming, mowing, weed whacking, weeding, watering, and fertilizing

Discussing with the owners and management of Eclipse the overall landscaping plan, with suggestions or advice on future direction, plans, activities to best achieve an overall beautifully landscaped facility

Assisting in the set-up, maintenance and shut-down of the barefoot walks

Managing the "edges" of the landscaping areas

Organizing and improving visual aesthetics of some outdoor areas (i.e. organizing storage sheds, painting doors on shed, leveling earth, filling in holes, gathering branches, raking leaves, working with bobcat with rake or shovel, etc.)

Occasionally working at campground, at owner's home, on hot springs lands

Other occasional related duties

Qualifications:

Ability to safely lift 50lbs and be able to work physically for the entire shift

Must own a vehicle, have a valid drivers license

First Aid training highly desirable

WHMIS training highly desirable

Chain saw safety training highly desirable
