Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a tenure-track faculty position in Mechanical Engineering at Dalhousie University. The successful candidate will have a strong research background in controls and mechatronics, with a focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning, as well as autonomous systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a strong externally funded research program
  • Supervise thesis-based graduate students
  • Participate in service activities at the Department level and beyond
  • Foster existing and new collaborations with government and industry
  • Collaborate with members of Dalhousie's research community
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
  • Eligibility and commitment to registration as a Professional Engineer in Nova Scotia
Preferred Qualifications
  • Research experience in intelligent controls, mechatronics, and robotics
  • Teaching experience in Mechanical Engineering and related fields
