Development Manager sought to lead multiple projects from inception to completion, overseeing planning, execution, and delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate development, excellent leadership and project management skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading development concepts for new projects and managing the advancement of all planning & development phases.
  • Providing strategic input and leading municipal approvals processes, including Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-Law Amendment, and Site Plan Approvals.
  • Engaging with marketing and product development teams to inform project design and demographics.
  • Managing consultants and project teams to ensure targets are met.
  • Producing and monitoring project budgets, cash-flow projections, and schedules.
  • Representing the owner in meetings with partners, consultants, and city staff.
  • Developing relationships with municipalities and other governing bodies.
  • Collaborating with internal departments and leading the work of coordinators and assistant managers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in a real-estate-related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate development, with a focus on residential developments.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate development industry, including planning, design, and construction.
  • Ability to understand and dissect legal and regulatory policy documents.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
