Job Description

Our client is looking for an Enterprise Cloud Architect for a 2 year contract.

Duration: 6 months initially + 18 months renewal
Location: Winnipeg

Job description:
The Enterprise Cloud Architect Cloud Architects will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing the organization's cloud infrastructure. Cloud Architects will be responsible for developing scalable and secure cloud solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of cloud architecture with business goals. Your expertise in cloud technologies will be essential in optimizing performance, reliability, and efficiency across our cloud-based systems

Cloud strategy and planning

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies and services to meet business requirements.
  • Define cloud architecture principles, standards, and guidelines.
Cloud infrastructure design
  • Design and implement scalable and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Architect high-availability and fault-tolerant systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for cloud deployment.
Security and compliance
  • Implement and oversee robust security measures for cloud-based systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
Cloud services integration
  • Integrate and manage various cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and databases.
  • Implement and optimize cloud-based solutions for data storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment and management processes.
Cost optimization
  • Develop strategies for cost-effective cloud resource utilization.
  • Monitor and analyze cloud usage, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Implement resource scaling and auto-scaling mechanisms for optimal performance.
Disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud environments.
  • Ensure data backup and recovery processes are reliable and efficient.
Collaboration and communication
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security.
  • Communicate cloud architecture concepts and best practices to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to teams to ensure adherence to cloud standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Knowledge of serverless computing concepts and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
