**LOCATION**:Winnipeg, MB**SCHEDULE**:Full-Time**REPORTS TO**:Corporate Information Security Officer**DIRECT REPORTS**: N/A**PURPOSE OF POSITION**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS**:

- Administering, supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting server, storage, network, identity and access, and security infrastructure on-premises and in the cloud.
- Works with staff and partners to investigate and resolve issues, escalating to vendor experts as required.
- Works closely with the IT Architect in the establishment of new solutions / services, and the automation of services.
- Communicates effectively with staff and partners to provide IT solutions and services, this includes understanding needs, recommending solutions, providing "how to use" instruction.
- Support / participate in the development of automation to improve the efficiency of IT.
- Support IT process improvement and actively participate in technology planning.
- Provides guidance and works collaboratively with other System Administrators to investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Assists other System Administrators roles as escalation point for system issues.
- Aids in deploying management capabilities for various devices and software, including personal computers, tablets, mobile phones, printers, Wi-Fi devices, and audiovisual equipment.
- Provides assistance to end users as required.

**QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS**:

- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science.
- 5+ years of experience performing work in medium or enterprise computing environments.
- 2+ years of experience in a technical role working directly with enterprise computing technologies (network, server, storage, security, cloud).
- Experience supporting and deploying workloads in Microsoft Cloud platforms (Azure and Microsoft 365).
- Experience with Microsoft Server operating systems.
- Experience with networking and telecommunications.
- Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment and working knowledge of ITIL principles and processes.
- Highly self-motivated with a proven ability to conduct detailed research into a wide range of computing issues is required.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with an end user experience focus.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Direct Microsoft SQL Server experience considered an asset.
- Linux experience considered an asset.
