CSN Collision Lou's is currently seeking an Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to transform damaged vehicles back to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance. Attention to detail, multitasking proficiency, and reporting to the foreman are key aspects of this role.

Primary Objectives of the Auto Body Technician:

  • Review damage reports and repair estimates, planning necessary work
  • Conduct thorough inspections of collision damage, checking all vehicle components for proper functionality and appearance
  • Perform structural and comprehensive body repairs, including front end and underbody component replacements
  • Skillfully straighten bent frames and repair defects using specialized tools
  • Utilize welding techniques for necessary repairs on vehicles
  • Complete dismantling of damaged areas to identify hidden damages early in the repair process
  • Refine vehicle surfaces through filing, grinding, and sanding techniques
  • Restore vehicles to factory specifications with precision
  • Inspect repaired vehicles and conduct test drives to ensure optimal performance
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading and understanding repair estimates and procedures
  • Work with various materials and components, showcasing expertise in automotive repair
  • Experience in using frame and measuring equipment, as well as vehicle disassembly and reassembly
  • Adherence to standardized production processes and flexibility in tasks
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

Qualifications, Experience, and other requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Auto Body Repair and refinishing experience
  • Preference for Technicians with I-Car and OEM certifications
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and possess a valid Driver's license
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with Mitchell/Audatex and ownership of personal tools and safety footwear
