Position Overview:

CSN Lou's is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. The primary responsibilities of the Auto Body Technician include preparing vehicles for the painting process, involving tasks like sanding, priming, and masking. This role also presents opportunities for growth within our paint department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sand vehicle surfaces to achieve a smooth painting surface
  • Apply masking tape and paper to protect unpainted areas
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer
  • Ensure paint adhesion by removing dirt and imperfections
  • Assist in paint and primer mixing as per specifications
  • Help operate and maintain painting equipment
  • Collaborate with the painting team for efficient workflow
  • Perform assigned duties from supervisors or managers

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role
  • Knowledge of sanding and masking techniques
  • Familiarity with automotive paints and painting equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Problem-solving and time management skills
  • Physical stamina for repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
