Job Summary: Analytical Chemist responsible for developing and validating analytical methods, conducting comprehensive testing, and ensuring compliance with laboratory SOPs and guidelines.

About the RoleAs an Analytical Chemist, you will be responsible for developing and validating analytical methods, conducting comprehensive testing, and ensuring compliance with laboratory SOPs and guidelines. You will work closely with the Scientific Leader to prepare analytical methods and technical reports, and perform validation of analytical testing procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and validate analytical methods for drug substance and finished product
- Conduct comprehensive testing for API evaluation, formulation evaluation, and API releasing
- Prepare analytical methods and technical reports
- Perform validation of analytical testing procedures
- Ensure compliance with laboratory SOPs and guidelines
- Conduct lab investigations for OOS and OOT results
- Document and report results as per established SOPs
- Provide technical support to other departments
- Work as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes
- Develop and maintain strong relationships within Analytical R&D
- Participate in departmental housekeeping and other pertinent duties
- Ensure all instruments are well maintained
- Demonstrate corporate values in the performance of work and interactions with others
- Recognized post-secondary education in analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field
- Knowledge of instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, and IC, including Chromatographic Data Systems
- Knowledge of UV, IR, and Wet Chemistry
- Working knowledge of GC or LIMS is an asset
- Good written and verbal English communication skills
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a pharmaceutical or analytical lab, preferably in R&D environment
