General Maintenance Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance Technician to join our team at JBS Food Canada ULC in Calgary, Alberta. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and providing preventative maintenance to all production machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair production equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Conduct regular inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and team leads to identify and resolve maintenance issues
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
  • Mechanical diploma or certificate; equivalent experience will be considered
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical components
  • Use of hand tools, power tools, and machine shop equipment

Working Environment:

  • Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards
  • May be required to work at heights or in confined spaces
