We are seeking a skilled and motivated Seasonal Labourer to join our team at the City of Markham. As a key member of our Parks Operations team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our green spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain parks and green areas through cutting, trimming, litter picking, pruning, and other tasks
  • Operate new equipment such as mowers, tractors, and cord trimmers
  • Work collaboratively with a small crew to achieve team goals
  • Provide backup support to Operations Labourers as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education in parks operations or a related field an asset
  • Valid G driver's license with a clean driver abstract
  • Hands-on experience operating various grounds maintenance equipment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues

  • Competitive hourly rate starting at $28.47, increasing to $28.92 after 4 months
